Saariselkä MTB Stages
The registration for Saariselkä MTB Stages 2024 opens on the October 1st 2023.Additional information
The registration fee is paid directly in the registration system. The fee can be paid by Visa or Mastercard.
For DUO class, the teams register together. One member of the DUO is a "captain" who does the entry for the team and pays for both participants. The captain receives a code by which both team members can add their personal information.
The registration system closes on 18th August at 23.59. After that registration is possible by email or in the race office.
Late registration is still possible until the race morning. We recommend registering by email to prevent crowding of the race office. You can send the registration details by email to mail@outdoorexpert.fi.
Payment in race office is possible by credit/debit card or cash.
What are the differences between the classes?
Elite, sport and DUO classes ride the same stages with total length of 180km. If you wish to compete for the cash prizes, you must race in elite class. Sport class will be divided into four age categories, 30y, 40y, 50y, 60y, and 70y. In case there are less than three participants in a class, we hold back the right to put two or more classes together.
Juniors 12y and 15y, and adventure class ride the short stages every day. The total length is around 55km.
Juniors 18y ride the same stages as elite class.
eAdveture and eSport are classes for ebikes. The distances are the same as in elite and hobby classes. eAdventure is not supposed to be a race class and therefore the will be no time keeping or prizes in eAdventure class.
eSport is the race class for ebikes. The ebikes used in the ebike classes need to apply the following rules:
- maximum power 250W
- assistance goes off in 25kmph
The ebikes will be tested during the race and participants breaking the rules will be disqualified from the race.
eAdventure and eSport have their own start group.

* The jersey is included in the registrations made before 31st of May 2024.
Saariselkä MTB single stages
It is also possible to ride only one or two stages. If you ride only one stage, you will be in the daily results but you will not be classified in the overall results.
If you register for single stages, your class is automatically hobby, juniors, or adventure. It is not possible to ride single stages in elite class!

The Saariselkä MTB jersey is not included in the registration fee if you ride the single stages. However, it is possible to order the jersey before 31.5.2024. The price of the jersey is 50€.
KIDS' race
Saariselkä MTB KIDS´Race is a playful children´s race which will be organized on the 27th of August in the afternoon after the official stage. The short course runs around the start and finishing area and children don´t need earlier mountain biking experience to be able to participate. Prizes for all participants!

Registrations to the KIDS´ Race starts in the race office half an hour before the event!
Registration terms
In case of injury or illness it is possible to free-of-charge postpone your registration to following year's event. In other cases it is possible to postpone your registration with a 50€ office fee. You can move your registration to another person free-of-charge.
All changes must be made latest 48h before the start of the event.
If you have free participation voucher or you have moved your registration from 2023 you will need to register before 31st May 2024!
