Stage 2 juniors

The 2nd stage is the queen stage for the juniors with 32km and 520m of climbing. The stage starts again behind a front car. This time the direction is towards Ski Saariselkä from where the track continues on a fast gravel trail along Lutto river.

After 4km the track turns towards Vellinsärpimäoja and Taajoslaavu. From this point on the trail turns into a double-track. The track also starts climbing easily but steadily. After Taajoslaavu you'll find the most technical single-track parts of the track.

The single-tack section ends at the service point. There the junior track separates from the adults' track and turns towards Iisakkipää fell. The first couple of kilometers are on an easy gravel road. After that the track starts climbing towards Iisakkipää and also the trail becomes more technical.

From the highest point of the climb you can almost see to the finish line. However, we recommend keeping your eyes to the trail because there are some loose stones on the trail. Now you have only the final descent and the final sprint left to ride.
